I’m finally out of Virginia. I’m in Raleigh at Vicki’s. So exhausted. We just talked, played with Cameron, watched a little tv and had Quizno’s for dinner. I’m going to put my pictures from last night on the computer, watch a movie then go to bed. Cameron is so cute!

Saturday October 3, 2009 – U2 Raleigh

Vicki and I just relaxed today watching college football, playing with Cameron and had a nice big lunch – oh we went to Bojangles in the morning for biscuits and sweet tea. Tasha and Rosann came over here at 4, and we left for the concert. We missed Bono by seconds. We heard the screams as we got out of the car. Luckily Larry and Adam did not stop. We heard the soundcheck, which was fun – and they played ‘In a Little While.’

We walked into Carter-Finley Stadium at the University of North Carolina after the GA line had died down. We were on the back rail on Adam’s side – at the catwalk. Muse opened again. They are growing on me, but Vicki did not like them at all. It was a great birthday show for me – a day early. We had a great time. There was a full moon. It was pretty much the same set list as Charlottesville except instead of ‘Your Blue Room,’ U2 played ‘In a Little While,’ which is my favorite off  ‘All That You Can’t Leave Behind’ and the first time I heard it this tour.  The set list was:

We stood where the band exits, but they went the other way – again! Cathy and Kate were at this show as well as Mike, Ayaz, Kim, and Aaron. We got to the parking lot and it was a stand still. At midnight I shouted out to everyone that it was my birthday!

Sunday October 4, 2009 – My 37^th Birthday!

A great birthday! Woke up way too early. Mom called to wish me a Happy Birthday then Dad called. All my friends texted and facebooked wishes. Vicki and I and Cameron ate pizza and nachos and potatoes and watched football all day! Serena and her dog joined us for part of it. It was a great day. On to Atlanta tomorrow.
