J is for Jean Genie

My favorite U2 song that begins with J is Jean Genie. To be honest, Jean Genie is not one of my favorite U2 songs, but none of the U2 songs that start with J are my favorites. I saw David Bowie’s Jean Genie on the discography on u2.com. I picked Jean Genie because I really liked it when I heard U2 cover it during the sound check before the show in Raleigh on the 360 tour in 2009 – the day before my birthday. I didn’t know the song, so I sang ‘big Deena.’

This blog post is part of my A to Z April Challenge – my 26 favorite U2 songs. Thanks for stopping by. I am also blogging the A to Z Challenge on my other blog DeenasDays.
