October 25, 2001 – Elevation NYC2

This Day in U2 History

For the second Elevation show at Madison Square Garden in New York City on October 25, 2001, Tasha and I had seats. It was quite relaxing not to have to wait in line all day and stress out about a getting a good ‘spot,’ but then we realized being in the GA line was half of the fun. We got to MSG early to buy tee shirts, programs and eat dinner. Our seats were behind/side stage between Adam and Larry – perfect for us. No Doubt opened. The set list was actually a little different. U2 played “I Will Follow” instead of “Out of Control,” “Stay” instead of “Staring at the Sun,” and “Unchained Melody” instead of “Peace on Earth.”

Elevation NYC2 10.25.01 Set List: Elevation, Beautiful Day, Until the End of the World – Two Tribes, New Year’s Day, I Will Follow, Sunday Bloody Sunday, When Will I See You Again – Stuck In a Moment, Kite, Angel of Harlem, Stay, Bad – 40, Where the Streets Have No Name, I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For, Pride, Bullet the Blue Sky, What’s Going On, New York, One – Unchained Melody, Walk On.
