27 years after its debut ‘The Joshua Tree’ is #47 on Billboard Chart
The Joshua Tree is currently on the Billboard Top 200 chart at number 47. Why is an almost 27 year old album on the Billboard chart? One reason may be The Joshua Tree was inducted to the Grammy Hall of Fame earlier this year. A second reason may be U2’s “Ordinary Love” won a Golden Globe and is nominated for an Academy Award this year. A third reason may be U2’s Super Bowl commercial offering their new single “Invisible” free for 24 hours. U2 is again in the news and in people’s minds, so they are going back to listening to The Joshua Tree. U2 fans often argue what is the best U2 album – Joshua Tree or Achtung Baby? Well, Achtung Baby isn’t on the Billboard chart.
