Raleigh 360 – my U2 Concerts A to Z

18-full-bandThe U2 360 show at Carter-Finley Stadium (on the campus of NC State) on October 3, 2009 is my choice for my favorite ‘R’ U2 concert, mainly because it was my birthday show (technically it was the night before my birthday). This is what I wrote that night,

We arrived at the stadium just after 4pm and we missed Bono by seconds. We heard the screams as we got out of the car. Luckily Larry and Adam did not stop. We heard the sound check, which was fun – and they played “In a Little While,” which is my favorite song off of All That You Can’t Leave Behind. We walked into the stadium after the GA line had gone in. We were on the back rail on Adam’s side – at the catwalk. Muse opened again. They are growing on me. There was a full moon. It was pretty much the same set list as Charlottesville except instead of “Your Blue Room,” U2 played “In a Little While.” The set list was:

Breathe
Get on Your Boots
Mysterious Ways
Beautiful Day
No Line on the Horizon
Magnificent
Elevation
IN A LITTLE WHILE
New Year’s Day
Still Haven’t Found / Stand By Me
Stuck in a Moment
Unforgettable Fire
City of Blinding Lights
Vertigo
I’ll Go Crazy
Sunday Bloody Sunday / People Get Ready
MLK
Walk On
One / Amazing Grace
Streets
Ultra Violet
With or Without You
Moment of Surrender

This is part of my Blogging from A to Z Challenge about ‘My U2 Concerts A to Z.’ Thanks for stopping by. Please come back tomorrow as I write about my favorite ‘S’ U2 show.
